Venice Beach, California – While in Los Angeles filming for my new @GarethEats food series, I wanted to find a cool place to stay in Venice Beach.

I found a unique capsule hotel right on Venice Beach called “Stay Open” – this oceanfront hotel is actually a 10-pod hostel that used to be a private apartment, and then, SnapChat offices.

The Stay Open staff remodeled this place into a very comfortable and quiet accommodation. Honestly, I think it has to be one of the best hotels in Venice Beach.

Check out Stay Open Pod Hostel here: https://stayopen.com
*Note, I stayed here in the lowest season (February) so I got the best possible price at $65/night. Typically, one pod costs anywhere from $85-$150.

If you’re looking for a great place to stay in Venice Beach, California, I highly recommend this unique hotel experience, especially if you’re traveling solo!

  1. THANK YOU FOR WATCHING 🙏 I know it has been awhile since my last upload, but I'm working hard to organize the brand new "Day in the Life" format. In the meantime, I have been uploading to my new food channel @GarethEats right here ► https://youtu.be/EP5i6D5y2Ps

  2. That is way nicer than I would have expected. A no brainer for people in their 20-30s. That age doesn’t pee as much overnight and communal living is still fun.

  3. I would not stay just because I am picky and prefer paying more for privacy but it is a great alternative for people. The first thing I said at the beginning was about the noise. I am a light sleeper so I would have a difficult time sleeping there. Overall great alternative an awesome episode.

  4. it is very intersting. I am going to spend a night there, but I am 6'3 with 100kg, I guess you are same size with me, could you tell me if it is comfortable in the capsule?

  5. Erowon is the most expensive and most popular with celebs in LA than any other.Their $13-15 juices are crazy.People stop into get prepared lunch/dinner

  6. Yeeeeeee!! Happy to watch new video, even if it as small and simple as this, but i like it ☺️
Beautiful place, sunrise, beach, palms right Infront of Room.

Hope you re doing well! Best regards and thank you! 😊✌️

  7. You work for 40yrs to have $1m in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10k in a meme coin for just few months and now they are multimillionaires, all thanks to Mr Harrison Clark , God bless you sir👏

  8. Never heard if these pods until your videos. They're so cool. Not sure I'd use them because I typically travel with my husband, but they are cool for solo travelers

  9. Thanks for showing us an affordable sleeping situation! It looked nice and clean. I would worry about feeling claustrophobic. I'm also 6 ' over 220.I have heard about those sleeping pod hotels in Japan. I also saw your video on the on in the Turkish airport.

  10. I'm a professional thumbnail designer, if you need an attractive thumbnail, you can contact me, I'll make you a low budget, high quality thumbnail, have a nice day, take care your self,

    thanks you

  11. You didn't show or you didn't mention where did you put your rolling bag did you manage to put it back in the car once you moved the car because it doesn't like look like there was room in the pod to keep it with you did you put it in those storage area I would like to know that's secure and I do agree that I wouldn't leave my shoes out there I would put them in a plastic bag and put them in there with me. I have hosteled all my life and my main beef with it is there's always some guy especially but sometimes an old lady in there who snores all night long and that ruins it for me I can't sleep but if people are quiet and it's not like it's LA or Miami where people come in at 3 AM and wake people up sometimes then it's not a bad experience but you know when I hostled in the eighties and nineties it was less than $10 a bed now it's 50 to a $100 a bed in a 10 bed Room it's really ridiculous this place rakes you know up to a $1000 a night if they're full which is not a bad investment on a property, as long as it's clean and quiet, someone on here said they paid for a night for a homeless man to stay there I would want to punch that person in the face I'd rather you gave him a little money and told him to go find a place to stay because the next person who comes in there unknowingly might get ticks, bed bugs or whatever else this guy might have picked up on the street and that's not fair to the person who's paying to stay there. It's a nice gesture but it's not sanitary. Although travelers from anywhere can bring bugs with them it's just a chance you take when you stay anywhere. The last time I stayed in venice, I slept in my car it was free.A Hostel bed was only $20 but I had a 6 AM flight so I just parked outside the place to return the car at the airport until it was time to turn the car on and just roll into the return Bay I didn't have to drive anywhere where I was half asleep worked out just fine I probably got just as much sleep in the car as I would have if I had paid to stay anywhere.
