Welcome to this Llyn Peninsula, North Wales vlog.
Today, we’re embarking on a new adventure to explore an area of North Wales that we surprisingly don’t know too well – the Llyn Peninsula! Known as the ‘arm’ of Wales, this 30-mile stretch on the north coast is home to some of the most stunning beaches and coastal views you’ll ever lay eyes on.
Our first stop is the breath taking beach in Nefyn. The crystal clear waters and soft golden sand make it an absolute paradise. We then ventured into the charming town of Nefyn, which although pretty, didn’t offer a lot of excitement.
Next up, we hit up Porthor, also known as Whispering Sands. Wow, what a hidden gem! This gorgeous beach was a new discovery for us and we were blown away by its natural beauty.
We just had to share this part of Wales with you all, it’s truly spectacular. And, of course, we couldn’t finish off our adventure without a well-deserved pint and a quick summary of our epic day.
So come along with us and let’s discover the hidden treasures of the Llyn Peninsula together!
Make sure you check out Shane Nixon, who we mentioned in the vlog. He has a great style and does a lot of Japan content.

⭐ About Postcard & A Pint:
Welcome to the official Postcard & A Pint YouTube channel.
Postcard & A Pint was thought up by my partner, Rachel & myself, Wills one day while taking our daily 1 hour exercise during the lockdown of 2020. All of a sudden, we were spending more time together, not working 6 or 7 days a week in the arts industry, and binge watching travel programs, and we were actually really enjoying it, and it made us re-evaluate what was important in life for us. Now back to working 6 or 7 days a week again, with very little time off, our happy time is getting out there on our brief times off together and making short travel videos that we are now sharing with you. It’s just a bit of fun, and great for our sanity. Your support is hugely appreciated x

Such amazing place, the sheep walking so neatly in the hill top is my favourite 😅 this is an amazing place but not surprising from Wales! Lovely charming town and even more lovely seaside!
That looks amazing. I've only ever been to Criccieth, and that was years ago. Amazing beaches and stunning drone shots once again. Thank you for the video.👍👍
Great to see you both out and about.what a lovely calm and beautiful place this is .its almost like you are on a deserted island for the day with just you and a few dogs.i bet its different in the summer
Too good video
Awesome my friend <<<<<👍👍👍😉
Sorry not a lot was open oh, we've done that too gone to a resort area off-season, it's a little weird but it's kind of fun to explore. I'm glad you actually found some sandwiches oh, because the people there have to eat somewhere! Thanks guys for sharing hope you have a wonderful week😀👍🏻
lovely beach there some interesting sights in the town I see
leaving a like👍Au👀full view
well done & thumbs up 👍🌄💯
Glad to see you put and about, sorry you both had covid. Great video, adding it to my list of places to visit once I'm back in the UK 🇬🇧
Never heard of existing sands before either, or Nefyn. Will make sure to visit on an open day though 😅
Waving at you, all the way from Qatar 🇶🇦
So good adventure !
You know what those graves mausoleum thingys next to the picnic tables in the church yard reminded me of? BBQs. New business plan – memorial graves and bbqs. Come and have a snag sanger over grandpa's grave. Fry up some lambs fry and onions over aunty Mabel. Speaking of sangers. I nearly choked on my vegemite sarnie when you mentioned that. Thank you! You're legends. Greyhounds! Sorry. Always distracted by greyhounds. Big adorable pooches they are. They're the cats of the canine family. I want to hear the whistling next time. Mr I'm A Professional Sound Recordist, where's the whistling beach recording hey? We have particularly squeaky sand here in Oz. In fact near us, well, 3 hours away, is Squeaky Beach and it is particularly squeaky. I think I made a video there * checks notes * Ah yes, one of the 15 or so yet to be edited videos I have in the pipe because I am a slackarse.
There might be nuffink in Nefyn but it was lovely.
Funny a lay-by in Oz is "a system of paying a deposit to secure an article for later purchase". You go to the shops and put something you can't afford on lay-by and when you finish paying for it they hand it over. Seems like over there you leave a deposit in a lay-by. Anyway, have I ever found a poo in a lay-by? Fair dinkum, do bears sh*t in the woods. Actually if it isn't bears it is definitely people. Dirty buggers. It sh*ts me to tears. I did make a video mentioning that very thing. A car park next to a beautiful waterfall near us, yeah, also 3 hours away, was littered with poo. In the bush surrounding the car park anyway. Close enough that if you were doing your business in the bush you could see everybody coming and going. There was sh*t stained clothes and everything. It was like they've gone, oh crap, somehow I've managed to sh*t on my jumper, I'll just have to leave it here. Why was I trying to find my way through piles of shit? Shuddup and throw me the bog roll. (editors note: Shane's last comment was for made comedic effect – at no point did he even consider pooping in a car park)
Pleased to see you feeling better Rach but I think you should go see somebody in case you have covid brain. I don't think anybody who is quite right would actually go in the water.
Excellent drone work again Wills. I'm slowly coming to terms with my drone envy – I'm fairly sure I'd stack it into a pile of poo if I had one.
One of my life goals now is to be called rubbish in the comments section of a major UK tabloid online newspaper. But today I think you went one better. Thank you for the shoutout. It made my day even if it is only 3:27am. It's one of those things I see other people get but never in a million years did I think I hear one for me. So thank you! 😍😍😍
Gotta go, I can hear the greyhound stirring. If she wakes up Michelle she'll notice I'm not in bed and I'll have to explain why I was up so late. Can't say I was up leaving comments on Youtube videos… Panic mode… need a story… P*rn! That'll do. Michelle I was looking at P*rn. Crisis averted…
Wales? OMG that beach is stunning! Great to see you on your adventures and as amazing as ever xxx
Rachel, David & Roxy
Great videos. I see why you call it jaw-dropping. So peaceful, and beautiful. Great beaches, and cute little town. Can't believe people just poo on the side of the road.
Loved every minute of this, you should have been a script writer,i think you would been bloody good at it,alot better than the pc scripts now days and the drone shots wills were on point debs xx
We used to holiday here every year too our son went to high school
Great views love the sea air ..even the sheep look good.
Not sure we would be up for a cold beach swim. Banging anchors in the background is very rude! The nature was 😍😍 🍻
Come back in the summer when the beach Cafe and the museum are open. There's more to Nefyn than you think. A walk up the hillside gives some spectacular views over both bays.
Ahhh! Christmas rocks! Of course! Well this all looked amazing! I especially loved that gorgeous beach within the cove… even without baby seals, all the dog action made it extra fun! Wills' new drone shot is fantastic as well! So glad you were feeling a bit better and able to enjoy this trip, despite what you found in the layby! Thanks for this Rach and Wills!
