  1. That's sad that Jim wanted to die when he was young because of family not liking his skin color.and the death of his mother Shaun maybe you did choose to come to this world. I believe we are here to give the universe self awareness. Without consciousness the world and the universe would be meaningless and purposeless and so conciseness was created to accompany creation. I like to believe that consciousness comes from a place outside of time therefore it has always existed and always will because time is part of creation. Consciousness is an energy of some kind that moves thru the physical for a brief moment that we call life but continues….and energy doesn't die it only becomes something else – that's not just spiritual thinking but science. The more I learn about the science of consciousness the more I am swept up in awe of life and the mystery of creation. We are truly meant to be here. But anyway, if I discovered that I had terminal cancer and expected to die a long painful death, I would go skydiving without a parachute and just experience free falling til the end. My hope however is to grow very old with few medical problems and one day while tending to my garden or while sleeping with a nice dream in my head I just die peacefully. And when I do die, I want to be placed in the ground and covered with dirt. No embalming or coffin so that my body will become nutrient for the earth. I pray that you boys live a long and happy life.

  2. Yayyy yayyyy! I love Last Holiday too. I really like the scene where the female lead bet on her favourite number and won three times in a row on it! It tells us that life willingly gives when you are genuine and passionate about yourself! I can see followus has a very fulfilling life so no regrets at all. Stay happy and true! ❤❤❤

  3. I know you two did not ask to come into the world but you sure are good examples of lives well lived. Inspiring all of us.

But, is there any danger of dying and then going into an after life? Let's say you are drinking champagne after a nice dinner at 45.000 feet and something happens. What a nightmare to then immediately end up in an afterlife with Jim's grumpy great grandfather and scolding relatives!

  4. G'day Jim and Shaun
    Interesting topic.
My 1st death experience was when my father passed when I was 19 . The funeral. I was shocking I cried my eyes out. . Then mum died 20 years later we sat around her bed in hospital for a week then I was there when mum took her last breath .I remember I calmly walked to the nurse station and said mum has gone I think you need the doctor . Who had to confirm it. It was not until the funeral I lost it and again cried non stop.
We do not pay for the hospital stay that's covered under our medical care.
No stress paying the funeral bills as mum had left money to cover the cost.
Me when I finally pop off. I told my friends. Take me to the funeral parlour. Cremate me and spread my ashes in the park near the house . No events no ceremony. No fuss.
We now have euthanasia here but only if you got 6 months left.
Like Jim I do not want to die drowning. And cancer it a evil way of dying. Heart attack best . WHACK you gone.
