I am lucky to live on Koh Phangan with my family. But I believe you are correct with you assumption regarding it changing fast. In the last 12 months there has been an influx of foreign developers who are buying up tracts of land and building high end villas. I am actually writing this listening to at least 3 to 4 chainsaws cutting the jungle but greed or progress you might call it you have seen it before it will be changed forever.

Cool to see Koh Pha Ngan. I think the time has come to go there this year if you still want to experience the laidback vibe, as I’m afraid it will get more developed in the coming five years from now. When was this filmed in Koh Pha Ngan? Was it rainy season?
