I've visited Cape Town many many times in the last ten years. GG is a seriously nice hotel but the price, approx ZAR 4500 for 1 night, even for Cape Town that is very expensive. You can find many equally nice hotels for little more than half that price.
The crumbling beams in your room, are they decorative like fake wood beams common nowadays or are they real? Sorry, coming from a seismically active region, that’s what stood out to me haha
There are A LOT of better hotels in CPT! The main issue is the location. Not good. I wouldn’t feel safe after dark.

Well done. The official description was ridiculous. . Here's my description for this and just about all authentic "boutique" hotels…. "Clean and newer looking smaller property smartly decorated filled with all kinds of cool interesting things having some elements of the locale".
