We celebrated our New Year by hiking to a Mount Tengudake. It is a 2-day hiking so we decided to stay at Kuroyuri Hyutte (lodge). The lodge is located at 2,400m height so it was quite cold going there about -12C.

You can do:
– Hike and stay at Kuroyuri Hutte.
– Watch and listen to musical performance by staff (special performance during New Year)
– Eat their special menu during New Year.
How to go there:
– Take train from Shinjuku to Chino station via Chuo Express line. Then, take bus from Chino station to Shibu no yu. During winter time, the bus stops 1km before the usual bus stop, so you have to walk 1km until the mountain entrance.
