Swim in winter at the beach in Amami Oshima anyone? Let's drive and explore Kagoshima~ |Japan

Who would have thought, but Amami Oshima island in Kagoshima prefecture is a hidden beach gem! It has vast beaches with clean sand and turquoise waters, and no traffic so perfect for exploring island by driving even if you’re not an experienced driver!
Actually, it was one of the big trips for me where I was the only driver the whole time!

Unfortunately, it does get pretty cold in winter up to 10-15 degrees, and very very windy. But that didn’t stop me to dip in the water, because, how can you not swim when it is so pretty?

Since Kagoshima is famous to be full of nature and greenery, this island is not an exception: tropical forest, mangroves, they got it all!
