I’m glad you guys are going and everything is safe many blessings look forward to looking and watching the videos but I’m glad it’s you guys instead of me I can’t stand their ignorance and their stupidity at the border everything requires a bribe or a tip for no reason good luck guys look forward
I WILL NEVER GO TO MEXICO BAD EXPERIENCES AND THE FEDERALES ARE VERY DANGEROUS
My father in law told me in the 50s he went to Mex. with his deaf mother and father. His father bought a big rubber spider thinking it would be a funny joke, as the Mex. boarder guard looked in the car window he jerked the spider up in the guards face!. Needless to say the guard DID NOT! see the humor the guards disassembled the car sets carpet door and tires. My father in law had to reassemble the car by him self, By the time he finished it was late that night they turned around and came back to the U.S.
You sound like you missed a bunch of key things in prep. Passport, debit, eggs …? We plan on crossing to Mexico and will use a passport card, it's cheaper, just can't use it for international flights. I want to camp in Cabo, is that setting the bar too high? Thanks for sharing your border crossing and travel deets.
What the worst they can they do other than throw you in a Mexican prison for life?
I think it’s absolutely awesome that you are traveling down there. I’m from Az originally and lived in Ca. for about ten years and I have always wanted to travel in Mexico. I can’t wait to see all of your adventures ❤
Praying 🙏 you all have a fun safe trip. 😊
getting into mexico is easy getting back into the states is the hard part
Regarding Eggs, The US is the only country that washes, sanitizes and refrigerates eggs, if you dont wash them, the natural film leave the pores in the shell plugged and they last at room temperature for a month or more, if you wash them they will last at room temp for less than a day. nature is amazing, but us in the US screw that up. If your eggs are dirty, and it bothers you, just wash right before use.
I have to geek on the editing on this video. Very well done sir! I felt the emotions. I love Mexico and I am looking forward to this adventure. Thanks guys!
I went to San Felipe close to 20 years ago, it was really nice.
Would love to take a trip to Mexico in my Class B
My Mum and I tidy our homes before going on holidays
I'm not Judging but I wouldn't feel good about taking my family to Mexico, be save 🙋♂️
Stay near tourist areas only, “protected “ zones, everywhere else is fair game. Or else you’ll be sharing sad stories.
Marissa- you mentioned you're the one who typically does all the research on your trips. Do you mind sharing your resources for Baja? Thanks! Love the videos.
JJ the optimist – fist bump little man. Safe travels.
I've never seen a person so anxious about crossing a border that Marissa, Baja California is Geared up for tourism as is Cancun, safe travels 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Eggs are not washed in Mexico they are wiped off. They do not refrigerate them so they cannot wash them. Outliers Overland stayed at that park a few years ago and they really liked it.
Every episode I fall more in love with y'all
Y'all need to check out the free Duolingo app and learn just a tiny bit of Spanish! We practiced for literally a year before going to Mexico and continued while we were there. We lived in Mexico (two different towns) for about 2.5 years overall and just loved it. Every small bit of the language you can speak will go a long way with the locals — and it helps in the grocery store, with road signs, at restaurants, etc. Even though we are back in the US now, we still use our Spanish now and then, and it's surprising how many books, movies, TV shows have Spanish words or phrases. You notice it more once you speak/read the language, even at a very basic level. Have fun in Baja! We've never been to that part of the country (we were in the Yucatan peninsula and not RVing).
If it's that hard getting in, getting out should be epic!
Just curious
Why didn't you want to pull your Solitude down there? The other couple pulled their Airstream.
I am so happy for you guys, if your gonna go to Mexico with your family, then as a caravan would be the best way to go!
WOW you all are super brave babies and all? Im impressed! I am such a worry wart
You guys make everything seem like a super pain in the butt. Everything you do is stressful grow up act like you know what you need to do.
The US has pretty unique requirements for eggs. In order to be sold in stores, they must be washed. Most countries don’t even allow that because it washes off the protective coating, thus exposing the porous texture to bacteria. There are farmers from Europe with YouTube channels that show how they process their eggs. And basically, anything too dirty doesn’t get sold. Any egg mildly dirty gets scratched off with sandpaper.
Eggs can last longer if they haven’t been washed, too. I have chickens and have eaten six month old unwashed eggs. If you keep them in the fridge, it’s mostly fine… sometimes you get a bad one and that smell haunts you for days. Which is why cooking shows tell you to always crack your eggs in a separate bowl and not directly over what you’re trying to make.
The flock I have this year are particularly dirty girls. I actually washed my eggs while watching this video. Hens lay with the sun. So as the days get longer, they’ll lay more. The eggs I washed will get eaten before they go bad because I don’t have to ration them in springtime.
Anyway, hope that explains why your eggs had feathers. 😂
My husband always wants to straighten up before we leave the RV… just in case we die while we’re out. Maybe it’s the firefighter in him. 🤷🏻♀️
Watch "We're the Millers" and "Due Date"…lol(not kiddie movies, language and content aka marijuana).
Hay, It's February 20 and we're in Cabo. Where are you guys now? Love to run into you.
Haha. I vacuumed my house before the RV trip we are on too. But my thought was in case I die. Haha.
I have not lost anything in that place. Would not take my kids there you might never see them again…
Moral support 😂😂😂
Enjoy Love the Baja drove from Ont. Canada 3yrs ago.
I guess only American citizens have to deal with passports at the Mexican border. LOL.
Do you have to make reservations for Baha?
I totally clean my house too when we leave for vacation!!! You're not alone. 1) In case someone breaks in. And 2) I know when I'm trying to "relax" on vacation I'll just be thinking "I could be cleaning my house right now". And 3) One less thing to deal with when you get back. And no, I am definitely not a neat freak either. You are not alone Marissa!!!
I think you've recently watched Breaking Bad Movie.
We are not that clean. 😬 wear glasses when you tour our rv
Marisa.. I am right there with you. Gotta make sure everything is cleaned up, cleaned, put away, lawn mowed. I don’t wanna come home to a messy house 😂
Omg Mexico is so dangerous please be careful
My mom spent a lifetime with an unspoken pattern of things she would never do and was always pessimistic. Debbie Downer. Sadly, it became clear after her death that she spent 83 years raining on everyone’s parade.
Anytime we have gone on a trip besides getting my office at work ready I felt like the house needed to be in order, just in case……
Bienvenido a Baja.
Cherish that nervous feeling it means you’re LIVING!
Enjoy your time here and look us up in you fun yourselves near Playa La Mision on your way back north.
Thank you for sharing your adventure. Blessings
Excellent. Just finished binge watching and happy to see one of the best episodes ever. Love.
I love seeing your family in "our town" of San Felipe! You can definitely get donuts in town there is a place called Dany's Donas and you can get old school ice cream at Thrifty Ice Cream 😊
Clean your house before the maid comes LOL 😆
You guys are doing one of my bucket list items. I can't wait to hear your impressions of RVing in Baja California. We are still a couple years from full time travel so i'm hoping it stays the same and stays safe for Americans.
How do I not remember that FOS story? 😂 Looks like you’re having a blast so far!
