    I have been in that plane more times than I care to count. The premium economy seats are super hard and uncomfortable. It's wider and has more legroom for sure, but for some reason, the padding is way harder than economy, which already hard compare to other airlines. In general, the new generation of China Airlines seats are very uncomfortable for a long transpacific flight.

    I guess the only good thing you can say about the hard shell seats is if you have a row ahead of you, when the person in front reclines all the way back, his seat back is not in your face ! 😄😄😄
    Otherwise these seats do start to wear on you halfway thru your flight over the Pacific.
    By the way, you're sitting in my favorite row too—-the first row in PE Class on the right side.
    That's my fav seat !
    Also, nice review of the food.
    Looks like CAL has bulked up their portions again compared to pre-Covid flights.
    A Snickers bar AND Haagan Daz ?! Nice 👍
    The appetizer looks big compared to previous flights I've been on.
    That's a good sign.

    How was the service? Did they come around a lot after dinner service to give you drink refills? How was the sleep in the hard shell? I've heard many people say they sleep TERRIBLY.

    The only thing you did not mention is the hard shell seats means people behind you wont feel encroached upon by the seat infront.

    Actually the seat is quite good for premium economy when many airlines just give a little more leg room but no additional angle on the seat.

    By the way might be good to mention still for the most part only Taiwanese can take China airlines as the border is still mostly restricted to non Taiwanese.

    However good to see the service getting back to normal.

    The A350 is a great plane by the way. I think CI feels the A350 is their flagship plane type even though it is a little bit smaller than the B777-300. Hence why the amenity kits have the A350 tags.

    Have to say miss taking them, it has been well over 2 years since my last flight with them and really China southern (All I have been flying since early 2020) is quite a bit behind in quality.
