Welcome to our travel vlog where we take you on a captivating journey to Kurashiki, Japan, the birthplace of Japanese denim and the inspiration for Studio Ghibli. Join us as we share our delightful experiences of taking boat rides, exploring the stunning beauty and the latest fashion trends of the town. Not only that, but we also had the pleasure of meeting a charming local couple who took us on a guided tour of the entire town. In our itinerary, we traveled to Hakodate, Kyoto, Nara, Kurashiki, Osaka, Tokyo, Mt. Fuji (Kawaguchi Lake), the Kiso Mountains, and lastly the island of Okinawa. My group of friends and I come from Chicago, from black and brown communities. We set out to immerse ourselves in authentic Japanese experiences, and boy, what an accomplishment and transformation it was. From savoring the diverse flavors of Japanese food, to experiencing the electrifying nightlife, we truly tasted and experienced the best of what Japan has to offer. But the adventure doesn’t stop there, as we indulge in the world-renowned sushi and squid for that matter (actually for breakfast) in Hokkaido, we also sample the street food in Osaka (takoyaki), fulfill our anime dreams in Tokyo (Akihabara), and lastly embark on a breathtaking island-hopping journey in Okinawa. Did I mention Karaoke? Because Karaoke in Tokyo is a once in a lifetime experience. Join us as we make new friends, create memories that will last a lifetime, and share our unforgettable experiences with you.
