Nowadays, popular tourist destinations in the Philippines have become more about the parties, fancy hotels and other man-made attractions. A lot of tourists, both local and foreign, go back to these same places every year.

For those of you out there who are adventurers and want to experience a fresh, new and exciting place to visit, I would like to showcase my very own CARAGA Region!

You will get to see many of nature’s unspoilt beauty as well as the history of my hometown, Butuan City, that predates the Spanish era by over half a millennium. As the saying goes, “Before there was the Philippines, there was already Butuan!”

  2. For about 15 years of living in Cabadbaran, I've never visited all of the places in the region sited except for that Rock Tower. Cool video-feature. Kudos man!

  3. I know that song you used as background when you were going to Bucas Grande. It's called "Simbolo", right? Great song by Layag Band. Great documentary. Well done! 🙂 I'm from CARAGA too. Magallanes, Agusan del Norte. 🙂

  4. @Ency Auguis Yes, it's Simbolo by Layag Band. Thanks for appreciating my documentary film. Glad you enjoyed it 🙂

  5. never too late to re-post this in my FB pages…good job! You are no longer a stranger to your own place. Congrats!

  6. @Cantilangnon Ako Would you have any data to state otherwise? Please explain, I'm interested to know what you have to say 🙂

  7. @Cantilangnon Ako  Oh you misunderstood me 🙂 When I said the youngest region, what I meant was that CARAGA has been officially declared as a "region" through Republic Act 7901 on February 25, 1995. So technically, it's the newest/youngest region in the Philippines. When I said youngest "region", I meant region as an official title. Refer to the link below: 🙂
