  1. No it won’t make any difference. Wearing masks outside but not in crowded restaurants and bars. That’s how absurd it is in Japan 😅

  2. There will always be those who where masks. I think SARS was the first ramp up and then it dropped back to 25% to 30%. Covid really ramped it up again. I expect it to drop back to around 40% overall.

  3. 🍙 Wearing masks has never bothered me. Not one bit. So if continuing to do so will help make the locals and business proprietors feel more at ease, I don't have a problem with it whatsoever. Japan has way too much to offer to limit one's self just because of masks. Just my two cents.

  4. I think i would still want to wear a mask when i visit for the first time, because i will already stick out anyway as a foreigner, i wouldnt want extra attention lol 🍙

  5. Greetings from korea 🇰🇷 💕
Here in Korea masks are no longer required as of 2 weeks ago
And everyday I'm seeing less and less masks 😷 😌

  6. Great video Ninja 🐒 a lot of people here are continuing to wear masks but nowhere as much as Japan , I think yeah they are wearing for their own personal reasons, most won't care if others don't wear , my reason will be for the cold when I go

  7. Mask wearing is dying down in Japan some. Finally, less and less Japanese are wearing masks. Outside and in trains I’m noticing, as well as some malls. I will wear a mask when I need to in Japan, but I believe soon enough Japan will catch up to the rest of the world and stop enforcing masks and just make it a suggestion in all.

  8. Government rules is not peoples rules , so do what local peoples do . Come to theirs country then followed what they do .

  9. I am going to continue wearing my mask especially if everyone else still is. My next trip to Japan is May into June. So, I will just do whatever everyone else is doing. 🍙

  10. Amazing news thanks! Traveling April 17. Ill still need the pcr test but hopefully wont need a mask

  11. Before this is over, can we get a commemorative set of Ninja Monkey masks? Logo and the Stay Positive tagline.

  12. Good to hear this since I’ll be returning in late March. I believe what you say is true though, the shift back will be a slow process. In any case, I’ll have mine with me and just go with the flow of what the locals are doing and enjoy my time in Japan. 🍙

  13. I will continue to wear a mask if people around me are wearing them. I don’t see it as a huge issue. Yes consideration for others should be part of it 🍙

  14. Have been mask wearing on and off at least in public since being on holiday here as of the last week and a half, for the most part… I've just been doing it out of respect doing what the locals do

  15. I wore a mask on my last trip in November last year, when I was indoors. It was a bit of a pain in the arse, but to be honest the other Covid rules (gloves when going up at the hotel buffet) I don't think I'll wear one on my next trip, although that won't be this year.
