Winter Travel #1: We went to Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel in Yuzawa, Niigata prefecture, Japan

We wanted to experience snow so we decided to go to Yuzawa in Niigata prefecture.

Echigo-Yuzawa station is about 70 minutes from Tokyo by bullet train. We purchased the Tokyo Wide Pass to save money and visit other places on Day 2 and 3.

The weather connived and it was the best snow experience we had so far!

Tokyo Wide Pass: 10,180 Yen (valid for 3 consecutive days).
Bus to and from Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel (510 Yen, one way).
Miso Ramen at Uonuma Ramen: 980 Yen.
