SNOWY WALK IN ICY JAPAN | Nara Deer Park

Today I’m taking a snowy winter walk in Japan – my winter morning walk today is in Nara 奈良 the ancient capital of Japan south of Kyoto in Central Japan. It’s rare to see snow in Nara, so I made the most of this lovely icy morning for a winter walk. I start my walk at Kofukuji Temple, an ancient temple complex in the center of town on the edge of Nara Deer Park 奈良公園 .

I slowly make my way through the park towards Todaiji 東大寺 the most famous sightseeing spot in Nara. The famous bowing deer of Nara Park are struggling to find food today, but the tourists will soon here here to feed them deer crackers! The deep snow and clear blue sky today make it an unforgettable place for a short visit in this lovely historic city in Japan! Don’t miss this amazing place if you are visiting Japan in 2023!
