I took a rickshaw ride in Kawagoe driven by a very cute girl driver, “Arimatty”!
“Arimatty” is the only girl rickshaw driver in Kawagoe.
Kawagoe in Saitama Prefecture is a wonderful place that retains the traditional atmosphere of old Japan.

    川越の蓮華寺は1549年創建された浄土宗のお寺で本堂にまつられているご本尊様は阿弥陀如来様でお参りする時は静かに手をあわせながら静かに心の中で４回なむあみだぶつととなえるのが阿弥陀如来様をまつっている浄土宗のお寺での正しい参拝作法となっています。

    こんにちは！関東地方に会った浄土宗のお坊さんの大学が18校あったとアリマッティちゃんが説明してましたがどうやら浅草の浅草寺もお坊さんの大学だったようです。事実かは分かりませんが福島県内のお寺で僧侶をしてる知り合いが以前言っていました。あと千葉県千葉市大巌寺町にある浄土宗のお寺の大巌寺も創建当初の奈良時代から大正時代ごろぐらいまで大巌寺のとなりにお坊さんの大学を作ったそうですが現在はお坊さんの大学はなくなり大巌寺の歴代の住職さんが学長を勤めている福祉の大学として有名な淑徳大学の千葉第一キャンパスになっています。ちなみに埼玉県と東京都にも淑徳大学のキャンパスがあり東京のキャンパスにはビートたけしさんのお兄さんの北野まさるさんが教授を勤めています。
