Best San Fernando. Trinidad and Tobago. Caribbean Walk Through covering major Streets. Walking around the city of San Fernando proper in Trinidad, an island in the Caribbean which makes up a Republic known as Trinidad and Tobago. The name of “San Fernando” was named after Spanish royalty. The people of San Fernando are friendly, easy going as you would expect from the Caribbean and there is a whole bunch of shopping. While there is a key below for you to skip around various footage of specific streets in San Fernando you can only truly get the gist of San Fernando by watching the whole video from start to finish.
This is a walk through covering all the major streets and roads that are the most traversed when visiting San Fernando. There will be lots of commentary and I will be leaving the natural sounds so you can hear what I hear. Like all videos in JB’s Man Cave, I keep things real by showing you raw footage so you can pick up the details. This is not a tourist video although tourists can use it to gauge what the streets and people are like in the city of San Fernando.
For those curious as to why some parts may be blurred: Usually if the camera focuses too much on the faces of children or some awkward moment then I blur it to protect the integrity of the people around me. These videos focus on the general surroundings and not specific people unless I am conducting an interview or approached by someone during the course of recording.
Here is a simple San Fernando walk through key:

0:03:08 – High St.
0:11:56 – Coffee St.
0:17:14 – Presentation College

Who here is from San Fernando or environs? If you live abroad and have not been to San Fernando in a long time please do give your opinions about the place… has it changed, improved or as you remember it?
I am from the US living in New York I appreciate these tours of Trinidad I feel if I ever visit there which I plan to do I will know so much about trinidad. I notice in these videos there ar not a lot of street lights are the streets very Dark at night can someone from San Fernando answer that for meit looks like it would be risky to be out at night.
I went to Prez 1970-1972. Looks exactly the same. Thanks for the memories.
Great video. I was there in 1983, spent one year in the South, and then went to St. Lucia for 8 years.
Keep up the good work i love my T& T.
I like the video, very well done, very interesting, left 51 years ago, only been back twice, but it's good to see how developed it has become , I like that.

Yes, good old Pres, my old school, the old house where MacDavid used to live and teach is now clear. We used to exit the college on Carib street when Presentation Sea scouts marched to the promenade church to the beat of the scout band led by scout Master Br. Michael Luke, and troop Leader Andy Karim who also played the front drum along with Ricky Waldron and myself. The other exit was used to go to scout house on the wharf to scout house after classes on Friday evenings.
Woolworth, was famous for soft ice cream cones and there was Dixie soft drink factory opposite sports and games store. A lot has changed!
Teary eyed looking at this beautiful video. Some areas have changed indeed. Thank you for featuring. It brought back so many wonderful memories growing up in Trinidad.

Hey! Just giving you a shout out. I have a friend who is from Trinidad in San Fernando. I've lost contact with him. He was last living in NYC and used to live in a place called Starett City in NYC many years ago. His name is Wilton Clark. If you know him, please let me know. I'm a friend.😊
Wow nice I know this city sando from Ghana ❤❤❤
I attended the technical school on rushworth st. Glad to see this place.thanks
It's really nice to live in an area where there's no traffic jams.. it's stressful and depressing dealing with traffic jams and the chaos of passing vehicles
Wow this brings back so many memories, thanks for sharing this. Haven't been home since 99, long overdue for a trip back.
I left about 50 years ago. Went to school in San Fernando. I went shopping with my mother on High Street. Every thing looks different. San Fernando is hilly
I remember the wharf. My father was a bus driver way back when. They had a lot of roti shops. Cafe where all the drivers ate. My father used to take me too get channa and roti. It was the good old days. They had toilet in the okd Tran station. It put a penny in too use it
Am always watching you please am Ghanaian please how can I enter Trinidad and Tobago l love this country
San Fernando is such a beautiful city. I wish I would have went there when I lived in Trinidad. Hopefully when I come back to visit I can take a trip down there. I wonder about the hotels down there also. Thanks for taking us along. I just found your channel. I’m subscribing.
Lovely video, it felt like being on a holiday. What was that gorgeous red building in the middle across the road from the blue building. It looked quite Georgian in it's architecture.
Also I think your format of filming, no editing etc is spot on
