Today is the day we’ve all been waiting for…Daniel is getting his hair cut at a Japanese barber for the first time after 8 long months of travel! And I couldn’t be doing it at a cooler spot…The Barba Tokyo! Before getting the most anticipated haircut of my life, we head out to visit the beautiful Mount Fuji! After a metro and two train rides, we make it to Arakurayama Sengen Park. This park has beautiful walking paths, pagodas and viewpoints of Mount Fiji. When we first arrived we were nervous we wouldn’t catch a glimpse of the mountain in its entirety, but after a quick bowl of Udon noodles, the clouds had dissipated and the view was clear! After enjoying the sights and snapping a thousand photos, we headed back into Tokyo for my haircut! The Barba is a legit shop. Harley-Davidson and California memorabilia line the walls. Jin gave me the freshest cut, shave and style I’ve ever had! Glad I held out to get my hair cut at The Barba!

Instead of a coat, a soft wool/mohair or wool cashmere sweater would be super warm. Fine merino, merino silk. Or alpaca. They last years. Under a rain jacket, they are warm. If nothing else, soft merino long sleeve t-shirt. Packs up very small. It’s a nice warm layer, even if wet. Love seeing your adventures!

Mount Fiji and pergola were beautiful.
I could never have done that walk up though. Tokyo was amazing, I would have loved the train ride. You can look out to see if you see anything or just relax. Better than driving 😅
