We’re Thomas and Sheena, food and travel fiends. We travel full time, hunting for the BEST local food in the world to showcase via our YouTube videos. Food is a window into a country’s culture and one of the most exciting ways to get to know a place.

We’re all about eating what and where the locals eat. You won’t find food that’s been created merely to be social media worthy on here- no rainbow bagels, gold leaf soft serves- just honest food that tastes incredible.

From street food to mom and pop restaurants, we want to show you the best food we find on our travels.

  1. You could crumb a turd in panko and deep fat fry it and I would eat it without flinching. 😜 What a great foodie street you discovered. Is it in the Ginza? I love Tokyo food stalls in the chilly weather. They're so warming, as you say Sheena. Another great glimpse into the magic of Tokyo. 🙌❤

  2. Another great video! Really fascinating to see the Oden spot. I'd never heard of that before but it looks so cool!

  3. What a shame that there isn't more street food in Japan. It looks like it would be a hit pretty much anywhere, especially in the bigger cities.
I've seen a lot of oden shops, but never one packed as full of such a variety of different things! Of all the stalls, the yakitori would be my weakness, Thomas put my thoughts into words: meat on a stick, simple but doesn't get any better. But I have to say, the clam croquet looked and sounded so deliciously comforting.

  4. I miss all the food you try in every district. So jealous….. maybe I should not have watched this at night. SO HUNGRY 🤤😭🤤😭🤤😭🤤😭🤤😭

  5. Hey guys! So when you were at the yakitori place, how did you know what's what? did they have English names on them? I've always wanted to go to local areas but very nervous with not knowing what they are! 😅

  6. Wow, all that food. Miss Japan so much, but it's a toss up between Japan or Korea for an overseas trip. 😅

  7. Say "oishi sou" when food is handed, meaning looking good. Say "oishii" when you actually enjoy it. Say "oishikatta" as a compliment, meaning that it was delicious.

  8. fantastic content guys….we're from Perth, looking forward to holidaying in Tokyo in December and we're watching your foodie reviews closely for tips!

  9. u were never an "agitated" couple ( for a lack of a better word… like u were never in a 100 m race with showing food and tasting everything at a fast pace) but now 😉 we fell a little more calm and serene and …. at peace… u are 5 % more ….slow but not just slow…. more full of feeling and comprehensive…. hope u understand… hugs and kisses

  10. Great video, Thomas and Sheena! All the food looks absolutely delicious! Glad to see Sheena so healthy and bubbly…she is doing so well with her pregnancy. Can’t wait to watch Baby Thomas or Baby Sheena (or both!) Chasing A Plate.

  11. japan isn't really open society wise, government has declared but they are not willing to welcome foreigner fully

  12. The food looks amazing! Will be going to Japan in April. Definitely wanna try the street food. Thanks for sharing!

  13. These are fantastic recs! I’d love to see your thoughts on some gluten free street food for those (like me) who sadly don’t tolerate some things

  14. It really baffles me as why this channel does not get the kind of appreciation it deserves!!! You guys should have at least three times of your current subscribers count. I love watching your vlogs👍🏻
