Visiting Tokyo? You don’t have to restrict your holiday to just within the city, you can also take a day trip to Hakone from Tokyo via Train.

Make your way to Odakyu and purchase your tickets from the Odakyu Sightseeing Service Center. The tickets would include whatever you need for the entire day.

To get to Hakone, you would have to take the train and change to an uphill tram, before changing to the Hakone Tozan Cablecar which 1st stop would be at Mt Hakone.

You would be able to take pictures with this active volcano, and also try their famous black eggs.

Once done, hop back onto the cable car which would take you past a few stops including one that gives you a great view of Mt Fuiji on a good day.

Continue on the cablecar till the end to reach the cruise center, where you would board thie gigantic cruise ship which would take you across lake ashi.

Take a short stroll and embrace the beauty of the beautiful sakura trees found along the river.

A short 15mins walk and you would find yourself at Hakone shrine. Drink from their famous 9 headed dragon basin, visit the fertility tree and also take pictures at the huge tori gate by the lake.
