  1. I would love a video about your thesis. It sounds so interesting and now I want to re-read The Canterbury Tales! Congratulations!🎉

  2. I started paying attention to Iceland back in 1986 when the nuclear arms summit between Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev and American president Ronald Reagan was held in Reykjavik.

  3. Late comment: I haven't been to Iceland. I do believe it would be due to the mix of solitude and solidarity.

  4. I love your show its great. I am from America do you think iceland would be a good place for a 46 year old white man in good shape. To find love????

  5. Congrats on your Bachelors. Iceland is the country I would most like to visit. For me, it is the Viking connection and I grew up watching Jón Páll Sigmarsson and Magnús Ver Magnússon competing in World's Strongest Man.

  6. 4:40 Thank you sooo much Hrafna i am greek and i know to appreaciate that!❤❤❤ btw. I am trying to speek Icelandic and my friends from Iceland are saying i am doing good.

ps. love you, Iceland and your videos!!!❤
    Keep going.

  7. Iceland would be great to live in the US is to well people hate different people, not all, but most. Central NY state is to cold. Iceland only going down to 32 F is nothing. I love Chritmas also. I do miss the nice worm midwestern summer days, 80s are cool where I moved from, but the peacefullness is enough to move to Iceland really.

  8. I'm 45 years old and I've known about Iceland since I was at least a teenager.

Personally, I think think the most impressive part of this video, aside from how proud you were about your thesis, was how fast you said the name of the volcano lmao.

  9. Interesting…..since the first word i could pronounce…….but at first – WHO I AM

  10. You lack cultural diversity. And believe in hard work. Which is why Scandinavians do so well in America. Hard work pays off. And your population hasn't out grown the land and resources. And you value your history and traditions. Here in America we are taught to hate our culture and history. And apologize for everything no matter the presence of actual offense, feelings matter more than facts. It's mental.

  11. Thank you for your videos. I want to look up Br. Gunther and his church, he visited us twenty years ago. The scenery is breath taking. Please pray for Revival Jesus is Lord He is coming soon. God bless you and all the wonderful people of Iceland.

  12. I think most people would probably want to visit Iceland in the summer but I would LOVE to spend Christmas there! I love Christmas!

  13. Iceland is beautiful and incredible. I love Iceland and I would love to go to Iceland and I would love to live in Iceland.

  14. Belated congratulations on finishing your thesis! It sounds as if you’re a lover of classic literature, impressive. That said, if you ever read for just fun and like science fiction, I’d like to recommend the author Neal Asher out of England. He writes what I would describe as AI sci-fi where you can really tell he’s put the research into getting the science parts from cutting edge science. Also, more importantly, there’s a lot of humor woven into his works. I’ve read 11 of his books so far and they are a very fun, sometimes intense, read. I hesitated to write you about this because I know books can be hard to get in Iceland and he’s a fairly new author, but I know you love books so, I thought I’d let you know about him. Stay cool in Iceland. 😎

  15. Reason I went to Iceland was to deepen and expand my understanding of my own cultural heritage of being a Scandinavian. If I ever relocate from Sweden it will probably be in Iceland as I feel what I once loved about Sweden is still persevered in Iceland to some degree. Sweden, particularity the part where i''m from in southern Scania, is becoming to much of continental metropolitan hub with all the drawbacks it comes with. One of my visions would be a Nordic Union, a Republic where Greenland, Iceland, Faeroe Island, Norway, Denmark, Sweden Finland and the Sámi all where connected politically, economically and culturally in a deep cooperation of shared values rather then with the E.U, who's values often fail to transpose well with the Nordic/Scandinavian sentiments.
