In this video, Sinead takes you underground to explore the Churchill War Rooms. Famous the world over, this underground bunker is where Winston Churchill lead the British forces during World War II. See how Churchill and his staff lived below ground, walk in the footsteps of giants of history, hear the debates that took place within these walls, and see the rooms where the Second World War was won.

The War Rooms also contain the Winston Churchill Museum and Sinead is ready to show you some of the many highlights hidden inside! So come with Free Tours By Foot and take a virtual tour of the Cabinet War Rooms!

    Thank you so very much for this. So fascinating!! A lot of things I never knew. Being claustrophobic,I don’t know how they stayed there. But for their safety,I imagine they were grateful to be there. Wonderful video❤️🇨🇦

    I'm so glad you did this tour b/c it's on our list for 2024! We did the tour of Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Churchill, in June 2022, which is fantastic (more personal items too (more info on his lovely relationship with his dear wife Clementine), along with a fun maze to walk through, and their Pizza cafe is so good!). My father was in WW2 just as it was ending, so I there's a bit of a personal connection as well as general interest of WW2.

    It makes me so sad to think of the countless civilian deaths that happened in London during the Blitz. Churchill was a great man, but he was a flawed man as well, especially on his views of race and gender. But as a leader, Churchill was the right man at the right time to lead his war-torn nation through the crisis of defeating Hitler.
