This is our Diamond Princess Cruises Experience from Japan to Korea. If you enjoy this video and want to see each port of call that we stopped on, please watch our Japan series below.

After a week in Tokyo, we made the decision to spend 8 days on a cruise ship that would take us from Tokyo to Busan, South Korea, and back to Tokyo.

The Diamond Princess Cruise would stop at the ports of Toba, Himeji, Kochi, and Busan, South Korea before heading back to Tokyo. Were extremely lucky, it was cherry blossom season and each port was more beautiful than the next and covered in bright beautiful cherry blossoms.

The best time to do a cruise in Japan is definitely during the cherry blossom season. It costs more money to cruise through Japan during this time of year, but it’s worth every penny!

Our favorite port was Himeji, Japan. The Himeji temple was beautiful and filled with history. Toba was one of the smaller towns we visited and still had some cool tunnels and mountains to explore and climb. Kochi was nice, we visited a local temple and enjoyed our time there.

The cruise itself was great, the ship was a little old and dated; However, if you want to do a cruise in Japan you don’t really have any other option. The main cruise is provided by Diamond Princess Cruises.

We ended up eating at the buffet for every single meal, as vegetarians it was the best option for us to ensure we had a balanced and healthy meal. When we weren’t eating we would spend our time at the back of the ship in one of the hot tubs. The ship had very comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and the washrooms worked well and we’re also quite large.

We highly recommend you look into doing a cruise with Diamond Princess Cruises and especially look into a Japanese Cruise.

Originally from Vancouver, Canada we started an activewear business with nothing but a $5,000 credit card. Over 5 years we grew to over a million dollars in sales, and had our products sold in hundreds of stores, we were featured on Dragons Den, Bloomberg and much more! As the business grew it was becoming more stressful, and more expensive to keep up with the growth. In April 2019 we decided that we had enough and decided to sell everything and travel the world in search of adventure, happiness and new experiences. We started this YouTube channel to share our memories with family and friends, and even more so as a way to document our memories for ourselves! We are travelling FULL TIME as of June 2019, and we hope you will follow along our journey!

  1. Where were the ports? It's too bad you didn't show the places the cruise stopped, I was looking forward to that.

  2. I don't know why I feel I don't like riding this ship I just like the ship that crowded and small lol every peoples were sleeping in the floors well but I still enjoying.

  3. Thank you for sharing. The cabin you stayed in was an ocean view, right? It looks very big. I'm going to book a cruise soon and am keen to get a cabin like yours. Can you remember your cabin number?
