I just sailed on Royal Caribbean’s Odyssey of the Seas the other week, and it re-affirmed a few important things I think everyone should know about going on a cruise ship right now.

  1. I've cruised twice since the restart and have 4 coming up between now and Feb. Also looking at adding 2 more this year or Q1 of 2022. My biggest take away is flexibility. Go with the flow and be happy to be back on a cruise ship. It is what you make of it.

  2. Your voice is perfect at narrating these cruise videos! I agree that although the covid-19 protocols will change often & at times without notice that the cruise ships are doing a GREAT job at ensuring everything remains clean! And I do love the reduced passenger numbers & excellent service! It's been the perfect way to spoil me and my family after the year that was 2020…🤔 I enjoyed this video, thanks!

  3. We just returned Sept 27 from our Independence of the Seas cruise. It was great! We were told 40% of capacity on board. It was fantastic- no waiting for anything- ever! Everything was clean and protocols were enforced. Didn't matter, we were on a cruise- had a blast! Can't wait for our B2B in November.

  4. We are just back from a back-to-back Alaskan Cruise on Ovation of the Seas. Everything you said is TRUE TRUE TRUE TRUE TRUE! Only thing I disagree with is multi-tasking the Safety Drill on the app. The crew members were sooooooo happy to be back! Usaul service level was super plus, plus, plus. We had 2 problems and everybody did all they to make good ASAP as a high priority. WOW! We've already booked our next cruise.

  5. Totally agree with you about the menus! It's just easier and it does feel more like I'm at a nice restaurant.

  6. Hello I need your help because I never been on a Royal Caribbean cruise but I just want to know how do you know when you get on the Royal Caribbean cruise

  7. My QR thing didn't work, but menu items were on the Royal App. I also was able to get paper menus, and most people I saw were getting paper. (independence of the seas, 27 Sept sailing)

  8. Cannot wait to go in 2022 , first time on Royal other cruise yes, but I have hear Royal Carribbean is a nice ship.

  9. 9/12 Independence of the seas had 1400 / 3600 guests and the ship felt empty… but 9/19 had 1700/3600 and we were constantly unable to find seating in the Windjammer for breakfast and lunch 🙁 Because of the distancing protocols every other table was out of commission and unlike the BeforeTimes pre Covid, most people didn't feel comfortable sharing a table with a random stranger. And that really seemed to strain the capacity. I don't think the Freedom Class can go much above 50% until they can reduce the social distance rules and open more tables. To be fair, the strain was only really felt in the Jammer, and the rest of the shp felt empty/uncrowded and just lovely, but boy were mealtimes a slog.

  10. i wish the sanitizing protocols stay forever. it will reduce the risk of catching ANY disease

  11. Hey it’s Canada 🍁 thanksgiving, so if you’re trying to find motivation. Please get up, pray, brush, eat and have that positive state of mind. Be creative, give inspirational from your situation, show love to yourself and if you can just text and call someone reach out to someone. Not cause of your emotions, but in case of other’s going through their deep struggles and emotional mental Heath. Smile, laugh and rest your worries today, tomorrow and moving forward. I pray from close or from a distance, you stay safe and healthy my friend, sis, brother and to you that’s reading this at this moment. I reconsider you deserved to read this and I continue to pray for our happiness and for it to be with us today and more blessings 🫂💯💚..

  12. I have a question about Sorrento's pizza. I tried looking for this online but can't find the answer. I see that Sorrento's offers a "gluten-free" crust. Is that a cauliflower crust? I'm currently planning an Alaska cruise in 2022.

  13. I'm definitely going to wait untill next spring or summer , I'm hoping by then things will be almost completely back to normal , I want to go on a cruise when it full , that's what makes a cruise meeting different people from different parts off the world it's just more fun to see everyone having a good time , I dont want to be on a empty cruise ship

  14. Do you get COVID tested for departures on Royal Caribbean International ? going soon , just worried on return to United States

  15. During a stressful time, anticipating my RC cruise in 2 months brings me joy. Still hoping the testing requirement for vaccinated adults may be relaxed by then.

  16. I've watched so many videos from your page. Thank you for keeping a first time cruiser's anxiety about all of this at bay. I go out on the Liberty next week and am really excited (especially for the limited capacity)

  17. How was booking the shows?
We sail on the Harmony out if Port Canaveral in December. We were told you can’t book until the day of.
Can you book while in the terminal or only onboard? Did you have any problems getting reservations?

  18. The all-inclusive eat and drink package worries me. I don't want to cruise with a bunch of overweight drunks.

  19. We booked the two night cruise w Independance of the Sea at the end of January. Hubby is high risk and got his booster. Could we request a table for just ourselves for dinner? Are buffet meals back? And is there only one show per night (Grease)? Thanks!

  20. No vax, no testing, no mandates, no masks, then I will return to cruising.

  21. Thanks Matt for all the info. Now i know changes can and might occur between now and March when we cruise however flying in from Canada the night before i am worried that this 48 hr test requirement results might not arrive on time. By mid-winter there will be more travelers and testing times will be stressful to manage.

  22. How is the testing supposed to work when it takes "up to a week" to get a covid test result?

  23. So is there a better chance of room upgrades for cheaper prices since the capacity is so low?

  24. I just went on symphony of the seas and I loved it definitely the best part of my year

  25. Just got back from Navigator of the Seas which was less than half full and it was great! I think I am spoiled now for future cruises with it not being not that full. One thing I found out too late is that you can order at home test kits through Royal for like $60 for two, it is buried in the covid protocols in the app. I had a last second CVS test cancel on me and ended up paying more for a rapid test and had I known of the at home one, I totally would have done it.

  26. What about a bit of coverage of australian cruises you only cover USA cruises. We are cruising in November out of Sydney looking for information
