Japan's Brand-New ferry “Sunflower Kurenai,” enjoying 12-hour cruise by solo travel

The new ferry “Sunflower Kurenai,” just put into service in January 2023, is Japan’s first LNG-fueled ferry.
The first generation “Kurenai Maru” started service in 1912 on the Osaka/Beppu route. The second ” Kurenai Maru” followed in 1921, and the third ” Kurenai Maru” in 1960. Now, 110 years after its inauguration, a new ship offering a new casual cruise experience has debuted, taking over the name “Kurenai” (*Reference: Sunflower Web site).
Although it is a casual cruise, the cabins and public spaces are designed to be spacious, and the introduction of state-of-the-art technology has improved the quietness of the ship, making it a very comfortable cruise to enjoy. This time I stayed at “superior single room”
The buffet in the restaurant is rich in local and international cuisine from Oita, and I think passengers from Japan and abroad will enjoy it as well.
