Miura Kote-e Museum is located in the residential area of Onojo City in Fukuoka, about a 5 min walk from Mizuki Station. This amazing museum is admission-free. It’s run and created by kote-e artist Tatsuhiko Miura.
Kote-e is the Japanese art of decorating building exteriors with plaster relief. It has a long history, starting from the 18th century. This museum is well hidden from the mainstream but worth checking out.
