  1. I grew up (Hawaii) learning sushi was to be eaten with the hand, sashimi and such with chopsticks, and in Hawaii also short skewers.

  3. I'm amazed by the tempura fried shiso leaf, he called it perilla but the green Japanese perilla is shiso and different from Korean perilla. Or the numerous perillas grown in Asian countries so Mike, I love that plant and grew it in the USA and it is a cultivar of Perilla Frutescens, if you google that you'll realize there's a lot of varieties of this plant and that's why it's cool, I also grew "Akajiso" aka purple Shiso, which is a purple variety of the same plant with its own Japanese recipes, and the Korean variety. I had to order seeds on Amazon, you can do this too, it's commonly used in fried eggs, under sashimi, lots of stuff!

  13. Is that dashi broth in the pot? if so then I know how to cook my A5 wagyu thin sliced that I bought from costco a year ago lol I have a package of thin sliced A5 in my freezer and haven't been able to figure out how to cook it.
