We stayed at Sakura Terrace the Atelier near Kyoto Station.
It was a clean and comfortable hotel with a cozy free cafe. And amazing price.

Prices are at time of shooting.

  2. another great video. thank you so much for sharing!! your vids are the best!!

  3. I really liked this hotel. The attention to detail with the coffee and tea selection was nice. The room was small, but clean. The price was right thank you for showing us the Atelier. πŸ™

  4. Sadly, I feel a communal hotel like this would get trashed in America.

  5. I love your videos! I really want to travel to Japan and these videos make me feel like I’m trying all these places out! Thank you for your content πŸ™‚

  6. It's a terrific place, and extremely affordable! I'll be looking into this before my trip (🀞 hoping I'll be there in December 🀞)
Thanks for the video and a great recommendation.

  7. Looks like you got the right amount of coffee for the French press, I'd fill the carafe a bit more.. perhaps pouring the water from a high point helps move the grounds so they're emersed well, I stir my grounds before I plunge the filter….. Love the chanel πŸ™‚

  8. Anyone got any news of the Mume hΓ΄tel, in Kyoto ? It's been a harsh time lately for tourism… I hope Hisako san is well.

  9. No way? Did I miss something? Was it only $15 a night? Regrets if I'm missing something! Cheers, and many thanks!

I've always wondered why here, in North America, we are all locked into either dumps or $ 390-a-night hotels where you are lucky to get a thick Keurig coffee capsule. I'm often amazed at the amenities and low prices these excellent hotels/taverns provide.

  10. It seems this hotel needs to be a bit more open towards foreign visitors,
The only was to book a room is on the Japanese language portal, because the English language portal doesn't provide any available rooms.
To say the least this video is quite useless for foreign visitors.
