It is a popular park that ranks high on the list of Cherry blossom viewing spots in Osaka.
To get to this park from Osaka Station, take the JR Osaka Loop Line (outbound) and get off at the second stop, Sakuranomiya Koen Station, exit through the west ticket gate, and the park are right in front of you.
In this article, I will introduce only the area around Sakuranomiya Station out of the vas park.
What I actually found good about visiting the park is its accessibility.
It is only two stations away from JR Osaka Station, and the park is right in front of the station, so you don’t have to spend extra time getting there.
Secondly, I thought it was more convenient than other cherry blossom viewing spots.
Osaka Mint, a famous spot in Osaka, has a limited period and Osaka Castle Nishinomaru Garden charges a fee.
In comparison, Kema Sakuranomiya Park is free of charge and can be visited at any time of the day.
If you exit the west exit of Sakuranomiya Koen Station and walk to the left, you will find a convenience store, so you can buy drinks and snacks here if you are planning to have a picnic in the park.
