Jigokudani (aka. “Hell Valley” – 地獄谷) is a cluster of erupting geysers and vents (where steam plumes and boiling sulfuric hot springs escape) that can be viewed via a hiking path – the main area has a nice boardwalk so it’s easy to explore the immediate vicinity.
