A scene from “Koke Musu Mori” (aka “Moss Covered Forest”) in Yakushima, an area of Shiratani Unsuikyo that supposedly inspired the setting for famed animator Hayao Miyazaki’s film “Princess Mononoke.” The hike was absolutely spectacular, and this video does not begin to capture the enchanting nature of the forest.
