Hawaiians are really the warmest people, I've ever met.
Yes scams and petty crime do exist, but I think it's mostly non Hawaiians that are doing it.
Flying here is the first scam second scam is the price of hotels, third is the nasty beaches.
Just don't go. It's not worth it. Besides you'll have to experience koreans and communist chinese tourists…
Hmmmm! This is my second time in Waikiki! I love it here but no wonder the sand came out of my towels so easily! This is a great place! I have Ohana here too! What I love most about this place is how the people protect their native plants, land and culture ❤️
Anyway Mahalo for reading this!
I been living in Hawaii about a year to be exact I really don’t like going to Waikiki it be so crowded
I was staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village just a few months ago and the parking fees and resort fees is where I huge chunk of my money went. I will never stay at that place again.
10年前秋天。从西雅图到夏威夷自由行。美好回忆。夏威夷太美了。

Hi! I am concerned because of the recent news I have heard.. I am traveling to Waikiki with a friend. I abstain from smoking, drinking, and parties. I am extremely kind and have excellent manners. I just want to relax on the beach with my pal and go food shopping without bothering anyone. How can I avoid offending Hawaiian culture or coming under attack from enraged residents when I visit? I'm sorry if this is insensitive, but the news has worried me and gives the impression that locals are gathering in gangs with machetes and picking targets to murder. I'm now so frightened! 😭 we are girls! We don’t want any trouble with anyone!!!
How is beach theft a scam?
Lucky I live Hawaii
U can ask the cashiers for parking vouchers
Sound is awful 🤦🏻♂️
Better no need come Hawai’i
2 murders in the past week. You still want to visit Waikiki Haoles? Have fun
every major vacation spot has the same "sams"
The Waikiki Trolley is a fantastic way to travel around, too.
The safes don’t work it’s very easy to get open I know because I steal😈😈
The udon place is okay, it isn’t worth the wait. I’m not going to say my favorite restaurants here, but I will say you’re usually better off avoiding restaurants with lots of reviews.
Going tomorrow!!
With Res Hill, I wouldn’t trust the water right now.
Leave car empty, leave glove box and center console open leave vehicles unlocked. Why deal with broken windows
Taxi or Uber isn't a rip off. I take them because I don't like the crowd of busses
Another if a crime is committed to you or your family. 9 out 10 times you won’t be on island to appear in court.
Only complaint I had wn we were there in 2020. After a boat ride was wanting a photo of us on the boat but all the young male guides were to busy chatting up the young females after we beached
The Aloha stadium swap meet was the first stop we made on our trip to Hawaii. It was sooo worth it. We got all our souvenirs there and a great plate lunch. We ended up going back to the swap meet later in the week. I didn’t know about the parking fees until I got to the hotel. Luckily there was a parking garage that charged way less right across the street and the hotel didn’t charge me if I didn’t park there overnight
HOWZIT I never understood why the line is so long at Marugame Udon. It’s average food at best and has very limited seating for how crowded it gets. Also recommend getting or bringing permanent bags for groceries/etc. so you aren’t always paying for bags (granted it’s only like 15 cents). As for car theft….recommend taking EVERYTHING valuable out of your car and leaving your car unlocked. This will eliminate them breaking your windows. Full face snorkel masks….stay away from those!
Tip: Have a motorcycle endorsement, and rent a 200cc scooter. Drive to the east side, MaakaPuu beach, and go body surfing.
1:09 *Tahiti (according to a local)
4:27 Hilton is my go as they have free Wi-Fi for diamond members

I was going to hotel over there but now I think I'll just go back to camping…more convenient!
For renting a car…. You can also use Hui app. It’s a ride share you can use.. you can rent a car for an hour.. really nice app
