We took the train from Shinjuku to Odawara and interchange trains to Hakone , Gora Station. Weather was on our side where it was bright and sunny .
We managed to board the pirate ship crossing over Lake Ashi a very beautiful tranquil lake overlooking the Hakone Shrine and beautiful mountain trees. Taking the cable car to Mt Hakone where it is a complex volcano in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan that is truncated by two overlapping calderas, the largest of which is 10 × 11 km wide. The calderas were formed as a result of two major explosive eruptions about 180,000 and 49,000–60,000 years ago. The latest magmatic eruptive activity at Hakone occurred 2,900 years ago.
We stayed at Hakone Tent , tatami style ! We went venturing around Hakone at Hakone Gora Park , Picasso Muzeum and not forgetting shopping at Gotemba Premium Outlet to get goods at cheaper price before going for our next stop Mt Fuji.
We hopped on the bus from Gotemba to Mt Fuji reaching Kawaguchiko Station and our hotel staff fetched us from the station and to our accommodation.
The view from the hotel was amazing and also so beautiful that we felt never wanting to leave the place. We took the free bus tour around Cultural Village , Railway Cable car and few little mini stops . Unfortunatly we missed our 5.20pm bus to Shinjuku despite waiting from 4pm for the tour bus but unfortunatly it was full making us needing to walk an hour to reach Kawaguchiko Station . Luckily we dropped our luggage at the station locker before starting our day! However the ticket attendent was kind enough and lucky enough we managed to get last seat from the last bus our from Mt Fuji to Shinjuku.
