志賀島は福岡市から陸路で渡れる、アクセス抜群のリゾート地です。かの有名な卑弥呼に漢(現在の中国)が送った「金印」が発掘された島でもあり、金印公園や金印ホットドッグなどが有名です。また冬場は島の先端にある勝間海岸や、山頂の塩見公園にある展望台は人が少なく穴場スポット。

Shiga Island is an accessible resort island that can be crossed overland from Fukuoka City. It is also the island where the famous “gold seal” sent to Himiko by the Han Dynasty (present-day China) was unearthed, and is famous for its gold seal park and gold seal hot dogs. In winter, Katsuma Beach at the tip of the island and the observatory at Shiomi Park at the top of the mountain are less crowded spots.
