“Mutsumi no Yu” ((貸切露天風呂/睦実の湯)) is one of two open-air Onsen hot springs baths that guests can rent for 30 minutes at a time at Myoken Ishiharaso (妙見石原荘), a luxury ryokan located in Kirishima, Kagoshima (鹿児島県霧島市.) While the Onsen bath in our suite room was sublime, for variety’s sake we tried out Mutsumi no Yu as well. And we’re glad we did – it’s a spacious bath and is right along the Amori River.
