    It is tough to break big in Japan as a singer / performer or even as a musician. Japanese are quite musical having fully embraced American popular music as their main music (the Japanese quite an adopting people having adopted everything mainly from Americans: trains, jet aircraft, television, radio, telephony, central banking with irredeemable bank note curency, blue jeans, and so much more).

    It would strike me that a better strategy would be to become a bigger fish in a smaller pond by living in another city and singing in clubs / lounges in those cities.
