This was the second of two breakfasts that we had served in our room while staying at Kakunodate Sanso Wabizakura ryokan (角館山荘 侘桜), a luxury boutique Onsen (natural thermal hot springs) ryokan (inn) with just 10 rooms total. All meals were served in our own room (which has a private dining room.) Wabizakura definitely ranks up there among the very best ryokans for foodies (and Onsen fanatics.)

One of the numerous interesting dishes here is the Asazuke (あさづけ) at the end, and is an Akita specialty. Asazuke is a Cold, Sweet and Sour Dessert of Grinded Rice with Vegetables and Fruits.)
