► In this little feature, I’m gonna show you some of the amazing seafood dishes on offer in the city of Otaru on Hokkaido (and a few glimpses of Otaru as well along the way.). Otaru attracts a lot of visitors every year, and they all come to savour some of the best seafood Japan has to offer.
I had no idea what to expect, thinking “what could be better than what I already tried elsewhere in Japan?”, but I’m not exagerating when saying, this was a truly unique experience for my tastebuds. Every single dish was bursting with flavor, extremely fresh, and portions were generous.
Otaru is located a 40 minutes train ride west of Sapporo, and absolutely worth it. Had it been 4 hours, I’d still go. – Enjoy!
