Empress Garden Flower Show returns after two years .

The annual flower show at the Empress Botanical Garden is held on January 25 at St. Patrick’s Church (St. The first day of the performance, January 25, will be held from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and from January 26 to January 29, from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm

Entry fees- Rs 50/- per head
No Entry fee for children below 5yrs

Over 1000 children participated in the drawing and handwriting competition held at Empress Garden on January 22nd.
At the flower show, flower arranging and vegetable and fruit arranging competitions are also held. Participation is open to anyone. There are also entertainment programs for children. Visitors can purchase flowers, plants, and gardening materials during the exhibition.

The Empress Garden is popular for its flower show Buds and Blooms. The show is organised every year and is renowned for its beautiful floral exhibits. Flowers in pots, creepers, small trees in containers and lovely canopies and what not. For more clarity and information on every specimen, a placard is erected for each variety that states the name, scientific name and gives little knowledge about the same like origin and conducive weather conditions etc. This show is a must visit for gardening enthusiasts as one can get lovely ideas on planning your garden
