RECLINING BUDDHA NEHANZO getting lost at NANZOIN TEMPLE Fukuoka by Adeyto December 2022

Easy to get here from the beautiful Fukuoka city, 26 minutes by train from Hakata Station to Kidonanzoin-Mae Station. I truly got lost on the huge grounds of the NANZOIN TEMPLE but you can search online for a map if you don’t want to get lost. There is no description of the path so many other visitors got lost like me. However once you know it, it is rather easy to get to the Reclining Buddha. anyway I was not sad that I got lost because thanks to that I got to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, forest and Autumn 🍁 leaves, even met a bunch of Wild Boars 🐗😱

From August 1, 2021, the gates will be closed outside of viewing hours.
The viewing hours for the Nirvana statue side from the Seven Gods of Good Fortune tunnel, including the statue of Buddha’s nirvana, the 60th temple, Daikokuten Hall, and Inari Shrine, are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

From 7:00 am to 10:00 am, please enter from the approach to the main hall.

This does not apply during periods such as Obon and New Year’s.

The main hall and the 45th temple can still be visited 24 hours a day.
