This is the last video in my Japan series, and I think it’s one of the best! Have you ever heard of a capsule hotel before? It’s a new ‘trend’ and budget way of sleeping in some of the world’s most expensive cities, like Tokyo!
Join me as I take you through the unique world of a capsule hotel in Tokyo – in a more luxurious one that costs $100/night (which is still cheap compared to all other hotels in Tokyo). You’ll get an inside look at what it’s like to stay in one of these tiny, yet modern and efficient accommodations – from check-in to check-out.
I’ll show you the interesting amenities and features, including the shared spaces and sleeping pods. My only question is, would you ever sleep in one?

Have you ever stayed in a capsule hotel? I'd love to hear about your experience!!
the hard work will pay off
I actually enjoy capsule hotels, I stayed in a few in Russia and Poland. The capsules were super comfortable, clean and you have more privacy, than in a hostel.
Drew i see a diffenrt edit style on this video
Dude. you overnighted on an open iron train through the Sahara in Mauritania. I can't imagine this was really your weirdest experience!
No outlets seriously, USB only? 😢 Maybe in a common area?
I like your content a lot ❤ this new edit style is strange tho ngl lol .
Coffin hotel maybe haha,i am too tall for that.I have been 5 times to Japan, never slept in capsule hotel.
those capsules dont have a door or pull down cover?
Drew and that “only in Japan” guy should collaborate on a video
I feel like this should have been three minutes long, do we really need to watch him brush his teeth?
The men's elevator is so men can't go to the women's floor and visa versa. You can only press your floors, and the women can only press theirs. Also, there are bigger capsule room hotels for way less money per night. Gotta do your research in Tokyo!
I’m just thinking of them having these on planes
✡✡✡Live in the pod, die in the pod ✡✡✡
Come back to El Salvador!! I’ll give you a tour!!

Never been but would highly recommend
It’s in Japan, and me and the bois get our own washing machines to live in 👍👍
I’ve ALWAYS wanted to stay at one of these!
How much did it fill up with other guests?
It’s been done already by other YouTube bloggers boring
so clean and modern
I did a capsule hotel in Osaka in 2011, was an experience and much cheaper than a hotel room.
Another capsule hotel in Japan video? How original
I enjoyed my experience staying at capsule hotels in Japan in 2018. The really do provide a nice affordable experience, for when you just need a place to sleep and shower. The properties in which I stayed were similar but a bit more modern. I stayed at a property in Kyoto that was basically a micro hostel in setup. You paid for a pod with a slide-down curtain door, in an open room with a similar vibe to a row of storage units. There was a queen size bed behind the curtain, which was adjustable, a small tv with a headset, and the room controls were done by iPod. Very interesting experience. This property also included an evening open bar reception in the common room. Thank you for sharing your experience Drew! Props for the brilliant humor included in your video!! Thanks for creating incredible content!!
I’m laughing just think if you farted in one no were for the smell to go
Don't worry, Drew.
Japan always be with you.
Enjoy!!
Totally not worth it 😂
Stayed in Nine hours, great place…very clean, loved that weird water column in the shower room!!
I’m panicking just watching this. No thanks
I had to comment again. You made this way worse than it is.
Bro put his Pajamas on when he got there, and then took them off straight after having a shower
No cell phone use?!?
Welcome to Japanヽ(*´∀`)
(ゆういつ分かる英語)
Love you drew jew you my brother!
It may seem weird to you, but the greatest threat to women is men. Single women traveling alone appreciate measures to keep them safe, = separate men from women. Maybe not as big a problem in Japan or the USA or Europe, but your surprise at the separation was very telling.
Off-Topic: Whats the name of the face lotion you're using
Come on Drew! learn some phrases in Japanese .😂
9hours capsule hotel… MISSING IT A LOT!!!
The men's elevator is for accessing men's rooms and the other on one for women's
Dude, there are so many cheaper ones! Bigger and with more amenities! Check out @travelgeek
Of course you are in Tokyo …
Hello mr drew you can being dual nationals because your grand parents ancestry from europe
$100 for night in a capsule? Fuck that!
