We had our doubts after a teeny tiny capsule experience in Tokyo but the new pods at Whistler are so much better!! We give you a tour of Canada’s very first pod hotel and show you some of our favourite spots for cheap eats in Whistler Village.

Thanks to Pangea Pod for letting us share this capsule hotel tour with you! https://www.pangeapod.com/

  1. I’m from Canada and I love visiting Whistler every year. Lots to do there!

  2. This pod hotel is very expensive and total rip off. They want $115 a night during ski season . Its nothing but a Hostel. There's other hostels for $30-$40 a night

  3. BC is for sure the most beatiful place I ever visited, but unfortunately I had no good memories from my day trip to Whistler,
due to a traumatic issue I had with the bus company I took to get there, called Whistlerrides (whistlerrides.ca).
When returning to Vancouver, they expelled me and my 16 old sun from the bus, at night in the snow, cause they made a mistake
on my returning scheduled. Just one phone call to the driver of the morning would make the situation ok,
but instead, the night driver preferred to show how ignorant he is. After waiting 2 hours for the next bus,
between a nightmare cold and police calls, I had to pay 2 extra tickets to Vancouver, risking to not have avaliable sits.
They never explained what happened, neither returned my money, and said I deserved everything they did because I did not notice the e-mail they sent with the wrong schedule few hours before the trip, as I was off-line walking around Whistler.

  4. I live in whistler and yet i still haven’t stayed there skskskks

  5. This place is a total rip off. They charge between $115 to $199 during ski season. It's nothing but a hostel. There's nice hostels in Creekside for $30 to $40 a night .

  6. You guys are so cute! I have family coming from EU and I'm forwarding your video to them – thanks!

  7. Best place in the world — saw all the hotels I've stayed at and I agree Cows is the best, Hi from Aus

  8. passed by this place a bunch when I was in whistler last month and I had no idea it was the only one in Canada☺️

  9. There's another capsule hotel opened this summer at city center. Called the Panda Pod Hotel. Seems pretty cool

  10. “They’ve thought of everything!” as she shows the handle and steps to get to the second story capsule lmaoooo

  11. I'm a whistler local and Im watchin this vid jow cuz i got no idea what it looks like and no reason to stay in there lmao.

cool to know that its the first pod hotel too

  12. In Japan, you would have to take your shoes off at the door and put slippers on. They also have amenities. They have seperate ladies and mens floors. They have tvs and ear pods for each capsule. I watch a lot of travel vlogs from Japan.

  13. The difference that I see so far, between the capsule hotels in Whistler, and the ones in Japan, are how quiet the ones in Japan are. When people enter the pod rooms in Japan, they keep their voices down to a whisper. The whole tour of Japan's capsule hotels are so relaxing, extremely clean, and so many amenities included in the cost such as drinks, food, pajamas etc. I didn't see any of these in the Whistler capsule hotel. I would still stay in a capsule hotel in Whistler, but I would need a lot more information about them first of what to expect when I go there.
