  1. why do you need a schedule of any type? I would have tossed out calendars and watches on day 1

  2. Agree with Linnea 100% about winter camping. What's her -40 bag? I want that bag! 🙂 Could you/she share a link here?

PS Also agree with Linnea about cold sleeping. I feel like I will suffocate when I'm sleeping in heat. You take care of you, girl. Sleep is everything. I would absolutely want to be in my own home too.

Lastly, have you studied Human Design, Linnea? I'm a Projector, and Projectors are not meant to sleep beside someone every night. We can't fully rest. Wonder if you might be that too…?

  3. I would be interested to know if you have a plan as to what you are doing after the experiment is completed. I had to edit this because the last comment that you read irritated me. I don't like vlogs where the hosts don't talk. I want to hear what you have to say. I come from Linnea country and like this channel as well BECAUSE y'all talk. Thanks for that.

  4. Chris, that part about hypervigilance. YES. Reminds me of a quote from Brianna Madia's book. Something like… "people who take risks have often survived things that were supposed to be safe and weren't."

Also- I'm completely with Linnea. I'd prefer her van over the bus. Simple is better 100% of the time. Speaking from experience. Have lived off the grid on and off multiple times since 2019. Roughing it more. Heck yeah.

  5. I loved the last 20 minutes of you two just talking. Linnea say your recording this. Lol I enjoyed it all but the end was real time relationship interaction. Keep it real. 👍

  6. Y'all are funny together. One too many section was cracking me up.😂 and after that long discussions, Linnea asking are we recording this? Yes, yes you were and I loved it. Nice hanging out with y'all. Love you! 💙💙🐾💙🐾💙

  7. U 2 R Great Together…. U R Blessed.. getting to experience what your experience together It's so awesome I would love to do something like this My body can't handle the cold anymore but back in my younger year I would love to have done something like this. Please stay safe and please stay warm and please stay young at heart always and have fun and make each other laugh as much as possible your friend in Michigan Tam ❤️

  8. Love you both and your podcast! ❤❤ next year is it possible to move the wood stove further away from the bedroom so it’s not so hot and uncomfortable for Linea to sleep at night?? 🤷🏻‍♀️

  9. I am practically your neighbor lol – i have a cabin off of Old J on limberg. next time i am up would love to pop in and say hi!

  10. After you do laundry, I’d like to hear how you did with getting it to dry. I’m sure I’d want to have a crank wringer with me; not having them well wrung out can add a day or more to the drying time. But I’m short and I don’t have great grip strength. Wringing the clothes by hand will probably go better for you guys than it would for me. Do you have a clothes line? But I’m looking forward to hearing about it.

  11. I'm just gonna say it, because I know others see it too.
Linnea appeared much happier and confident when it was just her, and her dog, Alekla.
Now, on camera, at least; seems like she's lost much of her confidence and trying to conform to her guy.
Nice enough dude, but whoa, what a difference.

  12. You two are a hoot. We need more candid discussions like you did this time. I agree that it would also be good to see more of what you're doing than you talking about it. Don't get me wrong …. I like the podcast! Looking forward to the next update 😀

  13. BUUH-RO! Sister was slinging that knife saying "I'm not crazy" and I was like OH SH!T, LINNEA'S ABOUT TO OFF CHRIS! 😂

Also, thank you guys for the lengthy conversation at the end. I literally didn't realize the format type had sorta changed until Linnea asked if it was still recording. It was like watching friends have a discussion. Lol. That was really cool.

Good grief I don't think I've ever commented on a video so much. Her full stop gasp near the end, I felt that! 😂 BUUH-RO!

  14. Can you get more spare time if you divide them out on every day in smaller amounts ? Also. It's love releasing your own wants and needs to make sure your partner has a solid sleep at night. Just a last thing. If you do a couple of lives instead of filming vlogs, you can save some time on editing for other stuff. Just a suggestion. Nothing more.

  15. Do have a book on your to-be-read list that is about 1800’s homesteading? Even something as simple as Laura Ingalls Wilder, some perspective on the concept of constantly doing. People don’t realize that time that is expending on DITL stuff.

  16. It seems like your days are filled with work, which you like, but does take all your time. Which of course is different from your time in the west and southwest.
Chris seems like a very kind, accepting, relaxed person.

  17. I love your channel. You guys are living a dream life. You’re doing a great job answering my questions on your podcasts but my question is who would win a one on one basketball game?

  18. I love love when ya'll do a podcast like this together ❤️ the banter between ya'll is great! I also really like that you guys have great communication between each other!

  19. Finally got a chance to finish watching. You two compliment each other so well. I just giggle at your loving banter 😊. Keep it up! I LOVE watching you two ‘just talking’. Its refreshing!

We dry camp up here in Canada (in a 5th wheel) and I am actually amazed at how your experiences are so very similar to ours. We have a tiny solar system just to run our fridge and sometimes lights. We poop in an outhouse and cook most of our meals on the open fire. I WISH we could do winter camping here…but, too much -40temps makes it a bit too risky for my old bones lol

  20. Hey I don't think there's anything wrong with sleeping in different vehicles. My husband and I sleep in different rooms because we weren't sleeping well together, he snores, I have restless leg syndrome, he likes it hot, I like it cold, he likes an alarm set to wake up to, I hate waking up to an alarm…. on and on it could go. 😂 But getting a good night's sleep is so important, if it works for you both go for it, like you said you guys make the rules for what's best for you both.
Absolutely loved the part about getting on each other's nerves 😂😂😂 us girls all have "that look" 😘

  21. I'm laughing listening you guys talk about sleeping apart. If you are fortunate enough to grow wise together there's a big chance that Chris will eventually start to snore as most men do and then you will be sleeping apart again. I adore my husband but without 2 separate bedrooms we wouldn't still be married. I NEED TO SLEEP!!!

  22. Week off filming….DO IT! We can survive…you both deserve it! Just take some time and just enjoy what you have accomplished, enjoy the things you want to do, & most of all, just enjoy each other! You are allowed to forget this “social” world exists for at least a week! That’s my heart speaking❤❤❤

  23. Hermit..non people person…huge wild..animal…person..comfortable alone…at all times…I am all ok with..being out alone…

  24. @Linnea – I understand the too hot to sleep! I keep my heater in my house on 69 and sleep with three fans on! I don’t have a lot of covers either. Two top sheets and a very thin blanket over my feet!
