Tucked away in a corner of Japanese countryside lies the fading glory of one man’s paean to the Old West Frontier- Western Village- a theme park with a giant replica Mt. Rushmore, animatronic John Wayne, cowboy show, cowboy ghost house, and vast Mexico Land.
Features photos of an urbex / haikyo explore, history, and old promo vids.

Absolutely amazing! who knew japan made all these weird amusement parks. You just keep finding more and more. You've inspired me to start photographing abandoned buildings (with permission and outside) You never realize how many abandoned buildings you live around until you start looking for them. Japan has the best though since they're so diverse and strange.
Seeing this reminds me of the time when I used to see Frontierland in Morecambe in Lancashire after it closed down.It stood on the seafront and gradually the abandoned Western town was pulled down.On one visit with my parents men were breaking up the buildings with mechanical diggers. It was really sad because I remember seeing the park full of life and then it was gone.Morecambe's other theme park was Noel Edmund's Crinkley Bottom. It lasted for only a few years.I saw that abandoned too.
Is there an easy way in? Or did you climb that huge fence?
it seems more American than japenese why? ( no racisism intended)
West World!
@fordfreek95 I'm sure there are lots of japanese who are into spaghetti western and such
If the liquor was real I would of took it.
Would love to take a look around this place
No, you would have taken it. You can't 'would of' anything.
Awesome FPS XD
you should put the locations in the discription
0:04 Old Tucson Studios Gunfighter!!!
I wonder why all these amusement parks are just abandoned rather than have any kind of giant sale to make some of the investment back.
Did you keep the gun? Replica or not, that would be better then any souvenir you could have gotten from there even when it was still open.
I expected at any moment to hear a warbling noise, followed by static on the cam. Then a quick flash of a tall dark figure with a white head. Quickly followed up by a terrified yell, running, and finally a black insert "Footage found in Western Village, original owner of camera still missing,".
That John Wayne animatronic was supposed to brethe that's why he had the pink bladder
I hope you put the gun back where you found it.
it feels like fallout new vegas
Exploring with josh was here
How do you get in there?
Any guards?
I would of loved to see this place actually working
Any Super Sentai fans here, this place was actually a film location for one of the episodes of the series, more pacifically ninja Sentai kakuranger and the movie in which they do a crossover with the next Sentai series OhRanger
0:34 I compared this to a video from more recent and it's amazing how it's changed. The glass is smashed so you wouldn't have known there was blood spatter on the glass. And his hood is down and his mask is missing. You can now see his mustache! It's now over grown with something n looks more creepy, like it's covered in barbed wire! Brilliant video thanks for showing us I enjoyed seeing how it changed over the years!
1:15 I saw this animatronic in a video from 3 months ago. He was laying down on the fence for years. Now he's been propped up against the wagon. I'm surprised he's still there! His face is still intact but his clothes have worn away. He looks so different now!
2:11 amazing content and humor lol
