Welcome to Fuengirolam Malaga. In this walking video, we take a walk through city centre of Los Boliches on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon, in January 2023.
Los Boliches is the seaside neighborhood to the east of Fuengirola’s center. It is reachable via bus or train from the A-7 (formerly N-340) freeway.
It was a fishing community for many years and still firmly adheres to its fishing traditions now. Its history dates back to Phoenician and Roman eras. Many foreigners and Spaniards alike prefer it as a place to settle down.
Los Boliches has seen significant investment in infrastructure improvements, but it has preserved much of its original beauty and is not overshadowed by tall apartment buildings like some other areas of Fuengirola and the coast are.
In addition to the numerous stores and supermarkets in the area, a sizable Hipercor (a branch of the El Corte Ingles brand) is located just across from the train station.
Los Boliches is home to some of Fuengirola’s nicest beaches in addition to some of the city’s top clubs and eateries.
If you travel to Costa del Sol in Spain, and plan on visiting some of the cities here, make sure you check out Los Boliches and Fuengirola as well.
