We’re wrapping up our day in Ginza and we’ll be exploring Mitsukoshi Department Store and 9th Generation Keisuke 銀座鴨そば 九代目けいすけ 銀座店 to end the night. Mitsukoshi Department Store is Japan’s first department store and is enormous. Like most department stores in Japan, you can expect high end goods and fashion stores inside. What’s awesome is that most of them also have large floors dedicated to food, produce, and baked goods! However be aware though it may be a bit pricey.

Inside Mitsukoshi Department store is Dominique Ansel Bakery, which is the bakery that I just visited the other day in Omotesando. (Just a callout I just found out that that the only location for DAB is now in Omotesando in Tokyo) Each location has some unique pastries and they are really good! While walking here I passed by dozens of pastry places and I had to buy some more sweets. One of shops that I visited is called Foundry which has multiple locations throughout Japan and got their Apple & Earl Grey Tart. Foundry specializes in baked goods with seasonal fruits and have many apple type pastries. Definitely walk through Mitsukoshi Department store to see what you may like!

For dinner I’ll be heading to 9th Generation Keisuke, which specializes in Duck Ramen! I happened to see this place yesterday while heading to Mugi to Olive and got curious on what Duck Ramen would taste like. I ended up getting their No. 4 which is a Duck Ramen with Thick Broth and Extremely Toppings haha. Although the translation is a bit funny, the ramen was really good. However if you are not a fan of thick, fatty, rich, tonkotsu like broths they have a clear broths as well which are a bit more light. This bowl is jammed pack with toppings such as duck meatballs, duck slices, tempura, bamboo, and egg yolk. I think the egg yolk may have been a salted egg yolk since it held it’s form was not runny. This ramen chain has multiple shops and specializes in different things throughout Japan, Singapore, and Australia. For example they have a shop with lobster ramen, pufferfish ramen, gyoza, and more! If you’re looking for some unique ramen places check out some of their shops.

Just a callout the Dominique Ansel Bakery in Ginza may be closed, I have linked the Omotesando location below.
