    In Spain the New Year's Eve party lasts until 4am the 1st of January 😂 But we also spend with family and friends although the food is nothing like it.

    In Czech Republic night before the new year we eat chlebíčky, wich is something like piece of bread with egg spread, ham and cheese. And on a new year we eat lentil soup for lunch. It is said that if you eat it at the first day of the year it grants you fortune and luck to the year

    I don't like New Year's Eve celebrations in France. It's almost always quite vulgar where people get drunk, eat too much, and yell loudly while gesticulating to bad music!

    Hi, Aki, interesting differences! In Germany, where I live, there are meanwhile such a lot of different styles to spend 'Silvester' (31.st of December) and New Year ( 1.st of January), you can do it like you prefer it, go to a big party, meet with friends or family, have Raclette and a play evening together or follow a music Programm in TV at home and dance in your pajamas and have a glass of champagne at midnight… which I prefer. Depends on your family situation , too. With little children you can’t go out. All children have one thing in common: they are OBSESSED to stay until midnight, of course they usually don’t manage that and complain the other day, that they missed the fire works…💥 Have a happy and healthy NEW YEAR❣

    New years in Sweden is similar to France, but more shops and restaurants are open. There is a culture of individuals shooting up fireworks outside at midnight, which is chaotic and fun. Looking forward to more videos of your trip!

    So, my friend Sora from Japan yells "penis" on New year's night… Is that something or just trolling? He said it was for good luck with the ladies.

    In Spain we eat one grape for every one of the 12 tolls of the bell when it turns 12 on New Years' Eve. I think that some people might know this outside of Spain, because there is an item in Animal Crossing (Atsumori) with 12 grapes in a dish that looks very Spanish.

    In Germany, we watch TV-shows that sum up the main events of the last year on 31.12.
    The last few years everyone basically said, "do we really have to hear about that again?". Because the news were so bad.
    After midnight people start fireworks. (I heard Japanese did this in the summer) Most do wait until after midnight for that, but since
    at that point most are pretty drunk already, there are a lot of accidents and stupid behaviour. People throwing lit fireworks at each other feet are not that rare, sadly. It's probably safe in the countryside, as long as your have reasonable neighbors. However in big citys, I recommend staying indoors after midnight.

    初日の出を見に行っても誰にも会いません。会っても犬の散歩をしている人かランニングしている人です。最初は気が付かなかったのですが、この習慣は日本人（かオリエンタルな人？）だけなのだと気が付きました！イギリスでもクリスマスは家族と過ごし、大みそかはパーティです。日本と真逆です

    You should see the Netherlands at new year's eve. It's crazy, the amount of explosions, fires, and fireworks is insane when the clock hits 00:00 🤯 I love it! 🤣
