Niagara Falls separates US from Canada or more precisely the State of New York from the province of Ontario. It consists of three separate waterfalls; Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, which all together have the highest water flow rate in the world. Six million cubic feet of water flows over the Waterfalls each minute, thus creating one of the most spectacular sights in North America. However, separately the Falls at Niagara cannot claim to be neither the highest nor the widest in the world, or even to have the greatest flow of water. All of these titles belong to the Iguazu Falls, but you guys probably already knew this if you have watched our videos from Brazil and Argentina.

Niagara Falls are predominantly part of USA with them owning two of the three waterfalls entirely and having part in the third one which is Horseshoe Falls. Horseshoe Falls is located mostly on the Canadian side and it is both the highest and the longest of all three. It is also the one that’s carrying almost 90 percent of the total combined water volume. The name ‘Horseshoe Falls’ comes from it’s horseshoe-bend shape, and was given to it between late 19th and early 20th century when Niagara Falls was a popular honeymoon destination. Before that time, it had a typical arch shape and nowadays it resembles the more like a large inverted “V” due to several erosions that took place in the past few decades.

In fact, the Falls have eroded an average of 3.78 feet/year since 1842 which more recently has been reduced to less than one foot a year with the power requirements and anti-erosion measures. However, the Niagara Falls will disappear into Lake Erie in approximately 23,000 years.

During our visit we also discovered the beautiful community of Niagra on the Lake and went over to Toronto to explore Ripley’s Aquarium with our family.

  1. 18:37 "theres one that is super creepy …." standing in front of the wax figures of Kim Jong-un, Putin and Drumpf. I assume shes refering to the commander in tweets.
(I know shes refering to the horror museums but how ironic that these 3 creeps were in the background at that exact moment)

  2. That was really good. Clear video, good sound, good weather, the girls were enjoying the day. Never knew that there were black squirrels, or three separate Falls. The girls are all three blooming like flowers- in self-confidence, poise, expression- their EDUCATION is standing out in their ability to express what they are taking in. So enjoyable, great work Mom & Dad. So sweet it is.

  3. came accross your video when you toured victoria falls both on the zim & zam side.I live in livingstone town, we call it a town you called it village , kikikiki.
My first view of Niagara falls, I thought it was much wider and deeper and it's not all natural around the falls, some human touch and development, might be wrong because I have not there in person.our vic falls is much wider and deeper though has little water for 4 months of the year September to December.
Shocking that 30 million people visit the Niagra falls per year when only 1 million people visit the vic falls? Hope your audience will consider start visiting our vic falls. But our main customers should be the African market who 70% of them are currently leaving in poverty and can not afford luxury travel.
Activities i did not see you do when you came here include :

2.Elephant or horse ride along the Zambezi river .

  4. Love the Choc. story. I love chocolate also. I want to go to Hershey's in Pennsylvania. Maybe might make it someday. The pastries look so yummy. I love them also ha. I think I like to many sweets. . Everyone is letting their hair grow. It looks nice. First time seeing a black squirrel. The falls are beautiful. Interesting story Chloe on the lady in the barrel. I feel sorry for the cat. What a beautiful view from your room. I would have set up for hours just staring out the window.

  5. Which Falls were your favorite and most impressive to see in person? Niagara? Iguazu? Victoria? Other?

  6. Hello All. You have probably seen that all is frozen at Niagara Falls and -25 Celcius. This is much too cold for an Aussie Kangaroo. Lionel, the Polish Kangaroo, Australia.

  7. Took my friends from Belgium to see Niagara Falls. We weren't there more than 30 minutes, when they said, "Okay, we have seen enough!" Too funny! Steve from Guelph, Canada.

  8. I have been to Canada 3 years ago and I really enjoyed it with my family and relatives and I really wanna go back 😍😫 I’m really hoping to go there this year
