In this video, we stayed at Kyoto Japan’s Cheapest Ryokan (only $42). We stayed for a total of 2 nights at the the hotel/hostel named “Gion Ryoken Q-Beh”. It is located in the popular Gion/Higashiyama area in Kyoto. It was only about $42 a night, which is much more affordable than most ryokans in Kyoto.

It was a pretty rainy day in Kyoto, so we had a chill day enjoying the hotel and exploring Kyoto. We got some matcha lattes at Doutor in the morning, explored a shrine, went to the Nishiki Market, walked through Ponto-cho Alley, Shirawaka-dori, Higashiyama, ate at Coco Ichibanya for Japanese curry, and went to hidden bar. Stay tuned to see what else we did during our time in Japan!

  1. We image that staying in a Ryokan is a must while in Japan. Seems like a great price! Those types of markets are always the smartest way to go when you are hungry but you are not sure exactly what you want to eat. Underbar looks amazing!
