Japan Trip Winter 2022 [4K] – Ep. 3 Return to Monkey (Kyoto Day 2)

This series is a record of my trip to Japan in winter 2022. These videos are for me to remember this trip, but they can be entertainment for you guys too, as a bonus 🙂

I was planning to go to Ginkaku-ji too, but it closes at 5 pm and I wasn’t able to. Many places in Kyoto, and the rest of Japan, close early (anywhere from 5-9 pm) and open late (11 am, for example).

Video-ly travel tips:
– Make sure you have a pair of comfortable walking shoes, waterproof hiking boots are great for the wet and snow seasons
– The cheapest place to buy water is from supermarkets, but since those are rare, convenience stores offer relatively cheaper drinks compared to vending machines.
– Remember that the JR Pass only allows you to take JR Buses and JR Lines, you’ll need to use your IC card for Kyoto’s city buses and metro.

Recording Equipment:
– Panasonic GH6
– Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 lens
– Deity D4 Mini (sometimes I just used the camera’s integrated mic due to weather or rush)
I don’t have a gimbal (they are so expensive T^T), so a lot of the walking clips might be slightly distorted due to the camera’s own stabilization.
