In January, I walked through Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo, on the day of the Coming-of-Age Ceremony. Since this was a special day for new adults in Japan, many young women dressed in beautiful furisode (long-sleeved kimono) for the Coming of Age Ceremony walked around the temple. Visitors enjoyed the many food stalls as well as the beautiful Senso-ji Temple and its Five-Storied Pagoda.
